Prayer Of Release

Prayer of Release

It’s easy for me to begin to worry about things. If I have to do something but I’m not looking forward to it, I’ll worry about it. We all worry and have anxiety. It’s unfortunately something we have to deal with during our short time on earth.

You may be dealing with something much bigger than avoiding a situation.

But our Father is bigger than any problem we encounter here on earth. You can ask Him to release you from a situation. It may not happen immediately. But you can look back in the future and see how he helped to release you.

How Do I release To God?

The Sea of Galilee

First, identify the source of the bondage. It could be from a situation you’re in or it could be from a sin. For either one, you’ll need to go to The Lord in prayer.

Identify the root or source of the bondage that you want release from. Your prayer will change depending on what the situation is. You need to pray specifically to remove the root.

Are you feeling bondage from sin? If so, you need to ask for forgiveness and repent first.

If it’s a situation or something external to you, you’ll need to pray over the situation and declare release.

If you are having trouble identifying the root, go to God and ask Him.

Father, can you show me what the source of this problem is? Ask him to go deeper. There are often layers that need to be identified and pulled back to get to the root. Only then will you know what to pray for.

Psa 55:22 (ESV)
Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Once you’ve identified the source, you must pray to release and surrender all to Him. Give up control of the situation and let him carry the weight.

Pray in your own words for your own situation. It could be something similar to this:

Heavenly Father –

I honor your name. I praise you and your Son. You are worthy of all worship. There is none other than you.

Father, I bring this situation to you. I give up control and ask you to take this burden. You are the only one who can take this away and bring peace.

I bind all enemies around me. You have no right to be here. I pull out the root and close the door. Leave now, in Jesus name. Your authority has been removed and revoked. It is done, it is finished.

I declare peace over the situation. Peace over those inside the situation. Peace over those outside, looking in. I declare peace, in Jesus name.

Father, I release the bondage to you. I release my anxiety and stress to you. I release it all to you Father. I give it to you and allow you do the work Father. I give up all control to you. You are the only one with the strength to take the burden.

Thank you Father for taking this. Thank you for your mercy and grace.

I rely on you for everything.

I pray this and seal it in the holy name of Jesus.

Amen.

There is not a single right way to pray. The most important part is to go to the Lord and be in communion and relationship with Him. Talk to him. Give him your burdens. Bind the enemy. Declare peace and release.

Listen to what he says in your heart. He loves us and wants us to be free.
